Fitbit Air Surpasses Expectations as Google's Best-Selling Wearable This Year
Google's latest smartwatch is not its best-selling wearable this year. The company's Fitbit Air, launched in May, has proven to be a huge hit among consumers.
A poll conducted by Android Authority gathered over 2,200 votes and revealed that 75% of respondents would buy the Fitbit Air over other fitness trackers on the market.
The device's simplicity, affordability, and feature set are winning users over, with one reader commenting that 'the price and inclusive features are what makes the Fitbit Air unbeatable. Even over smartwatches.'
Surprisingly, the survey suggests that the popularity of smart rings is waning, with only 2.8% of respondents expressing interest in purchasing one.
The results of this poll may have been skewed by the recent launch of other high-profile wearables, including the Pixel Watch 5 and Garmin's CIRQA. However, they suggest that screenless trackers are more than just a fleeting trend.
