Fitbit Users Get AI-Powered Personal Trainer with Google Collaboration
Google and Fitbit are collaborating on an AI-based personal trainer to help users stay fit and healthy. This new model, called the Personal Health Large Language Model, will power personalized health and wellness features in the Fitbit mobile app.
The model uses data from Fitbit and Pixel devices to provide insights and recommendations for its users. Google offers several examples of what the AI model can do, such as analyzing sleep patterns and suggesting workout routines based on that analysis.
The Personal Health Large Language Model is built on Google's new Gemini models and has been fine-tuned using de-identified health signals from research case studies. According to Google, the model already shows promise in certain areas, with results comparable to those of a sleep medicine certification exam.
