Michael Vu Nguyen, vice chairman of FLC Group and former Boeing Vietnam CEO, passed away at 71 years old. He died on Wednesday in Gia Lai province, central Vietnam, where his funeral will be held on Friday.

Nguyen was appointed FLC vice chairman on July 31, 2026, bringing 40 years of experience in the aviation industry to the role. At FLC, he focused on areas including aviation and airport infrastructure investment.

Born in 1955, Nguyen previously served as Boeing Vietnam's country director from September 2021. He played a key role in connecting FLC with HAS Development Corporation (HASDC) for a project to upgrade two airports in Gia Lai province.
