Flickering Screens Plague Nvidia GeForce Users After Latest Driver Update

Nvidia's latest graphics driver update has been causing issues for GeForce GPU owners. Users have reported brief flashes on their screens while gaming, browsing, or playing YouTube videos.

The problem is linked to the Nvidia Game Ready Driver version 616.56, which was updated at the end of August. Some users have noticed flickers during games like The Last of Us and Minecraft, as well as while browsing and playing YouTube videos.

Nvidia is aware of the issue and is testing a fix. In the meantime, some users have found workarounds to stop the flickering, including switching from DisplayPort to an HDMI connector or disabling Multi-Plane Overlay (MPO) in Windows 11.
