FlightFX Unveils Hawker 800XP for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024
FlightFX has announced its latest addition to Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 - the Hawker 800XP. The company kept this aircraft under wraps until it was just hours from release, sending a cryptic message to the flight simulation community that sparked speculation about other projects.
The Hawker 800XP is a business jet with a storied lineage dating back to 1962 and the de Havilland DH.125 'Jet Dragon'. It has undergone several upgrades over the years, including the addition of Honeywell TFE731-5BR turbofans in 1995.
FlightFX's Hawker 800XP features a customized Pro Line 21 flight deck with Hawker-specific control logic and modernized avionics. The aircraft also includes advanced systems modeling, such as digital engine control, pneumatic and climate system, electrical, hydraulics, and airframe states.
The company has also updated its VAMS 3.0 Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) with live synoptic pages derived directly from original engineering schematics. The EFB offers full SimBrief integration and the ability to load animated cabin passengers, serve in-flight meals, connect ground equipment, and control airframe dirt and bug splatters.
