A Florida Amazon driver, Wes Stott, was publicly shamed by a bakery after mistaking a $4 cake pop for a free snack. The incident occurred at Homemade Haven Porch Bakery in Florida, where a sign on the porch read 'Treat yourself to Homemade Haven.' The driver, who has been identified as having good intentions but not paying attention, said he saw 'help yourself' and took one of the treats.

The bakery used doorbell camera footage to post about the incident on Facebook, accusing the driver of theft. However, the driver later explained that he had misunderstood the signs and intended no harm. Despite this explanation and payment for the cake pop, the bakery continued to call him a thief and refused to apologize.

Many people have come to the defense of the driver, accusing the bakery of publicly bullying a worker over an honest mistake. The original post was later deleted, and the bakery turned off comments after receiving heavy backlash.
