Florida Jury Convicts Microsoft Exec Murder Suspect
A Florida jury has convicted Mario Fernandez Saldana of first-degree murder and solicitation to commit a capital felony in the ambush killing of Microsoft executive Jared Bridegan.
The shooting occurred on February 16, 2022, when Bridegan was shot at close range after stopping his car to move a tire in Jacksonville Beach. His 2-year-old daughter was in the back seat but uninjured.
Fernandez Saldana, who is married to Bridegan's ex-wife Shanna Gardner, was arrested in March 2023 and charged with planning the hit as part of a bitter custody battle.
