Florida Man Accused of Buying Luxury Cars with Worthless Checks

A 40-year-old man allegedly used worthless checks to purchase two luxury vehicles at CarMax in Clermont, Florida. The incident occurred on November 17, 2025, when Yoani Chacon-Keser and his partner bought a $61,725 Mercedes-Benz E350 and a $21,000 Cadillac Escalade Sport using checks from JPMorgan Chase Bank.

The checks initially passed inspection but were later found to have insufficient funds. The general manager of CarMax tried to contact the suspects multiple times without success.

Law enforcement subpoenaed bank account statements from JPMorgan Chase, which showed that Chacon-Keser's partner had a savings account with only $20 and an account balance of around $200,000, but none of this money was tied to the checks used for the vehicle purchases.
