Florida Man Arrested for Stabbing Australian Tourist in NYC McDonald's

A 25-year-old man from Florida has been accused of stabbing an Australian tourist in a Manhattan McDonald's. Juan Mercedes allegedly attacked the 19-year-old victim multiple times in the torso while he was eating at the fast-food chain on West 35th Street and Eighth Avenue near Penn Station around 2:07 a.m. Monday.

The NYPD reported that the incident appeared to be unprovoked, and the victim was taken to the hospital for treatment. Mercedes, who was arrested at the scene, has been charged with assault. His arraignment is pending.
