Florida Man Convicted in Murder-For-Hire Killing of Microsoft Manager
A man accused of orchestrating the murder-for-hire killing of Jared Bridegan, a Microsoft design manager, has been convicted in a Florida court. The fatal shooting occurred on a Jacksonville Beach road in 2022 after Bridegan stopped to remove a tire from the road.
The victim's ex-wife was involved in a long-standing child custody battle with Bridegan, which may have contributed to the motive for the murder-for-hire scheme.
The case went unsolved for months as investigators struggled to understand why someone with no apparent enemies would be targeted while his daughter sat nearby in her car seat.
