Florida Volunteer Firefighter's 2006 Disappearance Remains a Mystery After 20 Years

Brandy Hall, a 32-year-old Florida volunteer firefighter, vanished on August 17, 2006. She left her shift at the Malabar Volunteer Fire Department around 10:50 p.m., just before she was supposed to testify in court on behalf of her husband, Jeff Hall.

The next day, a fisherman found Brandy's fire gear floating in a pond about two miles from the fire department. Police divers later discovered her truck in the same pond with a large amount of human blood on the driver's side.

Authorities said all the evidence suggested foul play, but they lacked a clear motive or suspect. Jeff Hall was found guilty and awaiting sentencing when his wife disappeared. He had been subjected to lie detectors and interviews during this time.

One person of interest in Brandy's disappearance is Randall Richmond, the Palm Bay Fire Department captain who claimed he was working at the fire station on the night she vanished but later admitted to having an affair with her. A police officer reported seeing a vehicle matching Brandy's truck in a Home Depot parking lot around 11 p.m., just after she left the fire department.
