Flputnam Investment Management Co. Takes $15 Million Position in Sherwin-Williams
Investment management company Flputnam Investment Management Co. has acquired a new stake in The Sherwin-Williams Company, taking a significant position in the specialty chemicals firm. In its latest filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission, the company disclosed that it bought 43,408 shares of Sherwin-Williams' stock in the second quarter, valuing them at around $14.9 million.
This is not the only new stake in Sherwin-Williams that has been taken recently. Several other institutional investors have also added to their positions in the company. Norges Bank bought a new position worth over $1 billion in the fourth quarter, while Bank of New York Mellon Corp acquired a new stake valued at $547 million.
Viking Global Investors LP increased its stake by 101% in the second quarter, buying an additional 985,520 shares. Balyasny Asset Management L.P. also lifted its position by 53,827%, buying 660,997 shares.
