Flydubai Fleet Set to Exceed 100 Aircraft Amid Rapid Expansion
Flydubai will expand its fleet to over 100 aircraft by the end of this year, following the addition of 11 new planes.
The Dubai-based airline announced that it will receive seven Boeing 737-9 MAX and four Boeing 737-8 MAX aircraft, which feature lie-flat Business Class seats and larger overhead bins called 'Space Bins' that can accommodate up to six standard-sized bags.
As part of its growth strategy, Flydubai is also launching a new cabin retrofit programme, where it will upgrade older aircraft with the airline's signature lie-flat seats over the next 12 months, starting in September. This will affect 21 aircraft currently fitted with recliner Business Class seats.
