Foldable iPhone Duo Predicted to Generate Billions in Revenue
Apple's latest event has generated significant buzz around its first-ever foldable iPhone, the iPhone Duo. Launching on October 23rd at a price point of $1,999, the device is expected to be in high demand.
Amit Daryanani, an Evercore ISI analyst with a Buy rating and a $365 price target for Apple stock, believes that initial sales will be driven by production volume rather than consumer appetite. He notes that his initial skepticism about the foldable phone was alleviated after trying it out, praising its interior display.
The crease on the inner screen is 'nonexistent', according to Daryanani, thanks to precise engineering and software integration. He predicts that if the iPhone Duo captures just 5% of Apple's install base, it will generate around $25 billion in revenue.
Daryanani also sees the price as attractive, with Apple keeping entry-level prices relatively affordable across its new product lines while shifting most price hikes to higher-tier storage configurations. This tiering structure positions AAPL for 'significant' top-line expansion and strong overall gross margins, according to Daryanani.
