Fond du Lac's Former Home Depot Transformed into Thriving Retail Complex

Fond du Lac's former Home Depot building is now home to six new businesses, transforming the long-vacant space into The Commons at Forest Plaza.

The renovation began in mid-September 2025 and included the addition of several national retailers: Burlington, Ross, Five Below, Ulta, Boot Barn, and Bath & Body Works.

Construction progressed rapidly, with five storefronts nearing completion by the end of May. The sixth storefront was left vacant until recently, when it was announced that a new tenant would be joining the complex.

As part of its grand opening celebration, Burlington donated $5,000 to Parkside Elementary School for new school supplies through its partnership with AdoptAClassroom.org.
