Food and Beverage Brands Suffer Five-Year Low in Growth
A recent survey of 2,800 brands across food, technology, and hospitality found that only 14% of food and beverage brands experienced an increase in purchase consideration among consumers in 2026. This represents a five-year low for the industry.
The data showed that established brands with high consumer awareness performed better than smaller or newer brands. Snickers, Hershey's, and other well-known names saw significant gains in 2026.
Beverages were the strongest growth area, with eight out of 25 brands recording five consecutive years of growth across industries. Mr. Pibb was the fastest-growing brand, thanks to Coca-Cola's relaunch of the drink.
