Forbes Takes Helm at American Pistachio Growers as CEO
American Pistachio Growers (APG) has named Mike Forbes as its new president and CEO, effective September 1. Forbes brings over two decades of leadership experience in the food, consumer products, and wellness industries to his new role.
'Pistachios are an incredible crop and nobody grows them better than American farmers,' Forbes said in a news release. 'APG has a long record of success and I'm excited to get started and build on that momentum.'
Forbes replaces Zachary Fraser, who was hired as president and CEO in 2024. He comes from a family of farmers and has held leadership roles at several companies, including Jim Beam, Procter & Gamble, and General Mills.
