Ford Picks Apple Maps Over Google for Its Electric Vehicle

Ford has chosen Apple Maps as the mapping system for its upcoming electric vehicle, the Fathom. According to Alan Clarke, Ford's vice president of advanced vehicle projects, the decision was not made lightly.

The company talked to multiple providers and weighed several factors before settling on Apple. Clarke pointed to Apple Maps' recent improvement as a major reason behind the choice. He said the software has come a long way over the past few years and now stands as a genuinely strong option.
