Former Coca-Cola Plant Transformed into New Nursery
A former Coca-Cola bottling plant in East Kilbride has been transformed into a new day nursery, Nurtured by Nature. The purpose-built facility at 1 Burley Place in the College Milton South industrial estate officially opened on August 3, 2026.
Experienced childcare professionals Leann Lavery and Cara Selkirk operate the nursery, which features spacious playrooms, a commercial kitchen, office space, dedicated outdoor play areas, and on-site parking. The pair previously managed Crossbasket Nursery and have now launched their own childcare business after achieving their goal of opening a nursery together.
The property was redeveloped in 2022 and had remained unused before being leased to Nurtured by Nature. Financial support for the project was provided by Christie Finance, while the property was leased for an undisclosed sum.
