Former Custom Built Cabinet & Supply Employee Wanted for $139,000 Fraud
A former employee of Custom Built Cabinet & Supply is wanted for allegedly stealing $139,487.74 from the company.
Brett Burdges, who served as the company's controller since 2021, oversaw accounts payable, accounts receivable, purchases, and the balance sheet.
An investigation by the Shreveport Police Department's Financial Crimes Unit began after a company owner was contacted by American Express regarding suspected fraudulent charges on a business account in August 2026.
Records showed that Burdges had been issued an American Express Blue Card for business purposes and made unauthorized transactions between June 2025 and August 2026, totaling $139,487.74 on two accounts.
