Fort Johnson Man Arrested for Stealing Over $1,400 Worth of Tools from Home Depot
A Fort Johnson man is facing felony charges after allegedly stealing over $1,400 worth of tools from an Amsterdam Home Depot. Rocco J. Nicosia, 51, was arrested on September 1st, according to a statement from the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office.
Deputies were alerted that evening that a man had left the store without paying for merchandise, which included an electric welder and storage box valued at $1,427.97.
A Fulton County Sheriff's Office deputy spotted Nicosia driving a white Chevrolet truck on State Highway 30, and he was stopped near the Fulton-Montgomery County line.
Nicosia was charged with fourth-degree grand larceny and released on an appearance ticket to appear in Amsterdam Town Court at a later date.
