Fortum Signs 22-Year Nuclear PPA with Google

Fortum Oyj [FORTUM] has announced a landmark partnership with Google that will see the Finnish energy company supply 50% of its Loviisa nuclear power plant's capacity to Google from 2030. The agreement is a 22-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA), which will boost Fortum's Return on Net Assets (RONA) by 1.4 percentage points.

The deal is significant for Finland, as it supports the country's decarbonization efforts and digital growth. It also enables joint development of renewables, battery storage, and new nuclear projects between Fortum and Google.
