From Cisco to IAS: Vishakha Yadav's Journey from Tech to Top Public Service Role
Vishakha Yadav left her comfortable job as a software engineer at Cisco to pursue a dream that seemed impossible: becoming an IAS officer.
She secured a B.Tech in Computer Science from Delhi Technological University and landed a role at Cisco in Bengaluru, but felt a pull towards public service.
Undeterred by her first two failures in the UPSC Civil Services Examination, Vishakha relied on self-study to prepare for the third attempt.
In 2019, she secured an All India Rank of 6, scoring 1,046 out of 2,025 marks, and joined the IAS as part of the 2020 batch under the AGMUT cadre.
