FSSAI Issues 150 Notices to Food Giants for Misleading Ads

The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) has cracked down on major food companies for misleading advertisements, false claims, and labelling non-compliance. In recent months, FSSAI has issued 150 notices to companies like Nestle, PepsiCo, and Coca-Cola India.

The regulator also shared a list of other major brands against whom action has been taken, including Abbott India Ltd, Red Bull India, Danone India, Monster Energy India Pvt Ltd, Hell Energy Pvt Ltd, Mondelez India, Diageo, Pernod Ricard, Ferrero India, and Kenvue Inc.

FSSAI has also taken action against e-commerce companies Amazon and Flipkart, issuing 12 notices to them. One Amazon warehouse license has been cancelled.
