FTC Lawsuit Sends Amazon Stock Price Plummeting

Amazon's stock price dropped 1.9% during mid-day trading on Tuesday to $254.92, its lowest point at $251.93.

The company traded approximately 31,387,269 shares, a decline of 35% from the average session volume of 48,520,371 shares.

This comes as Amazon faces criticism over advertising practices in a lawsuit filed by the Federal Trade Commission and 22 states, alleging that the e-commerce giant secretly manipulated auctions and overcharged advertisers by more than $20 billion.
