Fuchs Lubricant's Ecocool Global 1000 Earns Boeing BAC 5008 Approval
Fuchs Lubricants has announced that its Ecocool Global 1000 metalworking fluid has earned Boeing BAC 5008 approval for demanding aerospace machining applications.
Ecocool Global 1000 is designed to handle high-performance operations involving titanium, nickel-based alloys, aluminum, and super alloys. It delivers innovative lubricity additives, optimal cooling, excellent wetting and cleanliness properties, low foam, and excellent biological control.
The fluid has a unique EH&S profile due to Fuchs' patented technology and is free of boron, sulfur, chlorine, secondary amines, monoethanolamine (MEA), triethanolamine (TEA), and registered biocides. Ecocool Global 1000 has been certified as non-irritating by a panel of clinical pathologists.
Boeing BAC 5008 is considered one of the most respected and demanding specifications in aerospace manufacturing, according to Dave Smith of Admiral Metalworking Fluids, a customer of Fuchs Lubricants. The approval of Ecocool Global 1000 provides customers with added confidence that they are selecting a solution that has successfully met Boeing's stringent requirements.
