Galaxy S22 Series Now Supports LineageOS
LineageOS support has finally been made available for the Samsung Galaxy S22 series. The addition comes about six months before the official support window is set to expire.
This marks a significant development, as LineageOS is now supported on most of the latest Galaxy devices, with the exception of the solitary Galaxy S23 model.
Users of the Galaxy S22, S22+, and S22 Ultra can now access LineageOS 23 nightly builds and install Android 16 on their phones. This move allows owners to opt out of Samsung's One UI 8 and instead experience a cleaner AOSP-like aesthetic with potential performance benefits.
LineageOS has made significant strides, and this update could breathe new life into the Galaxy S22 series. In the coming months, users can expect an Android 17 update for the ROM, following Google's recent release of the full version.
