Galaxy Users Face RCS Issues After Switching to Google Messages
Samsung Galaxy users who recently switched to Google Messages are experiencing issues with RCS connectivity after using Smart Switch.
A growing number of users have reported receiving error code 3100 when trying to enable RCS or send messages on their new Galaxy phones, according to Android Authority and Reddit forums.
Google has identified corrupted cache files transferred during the Smart Switch process as a potential cause for the issue.
To resolve the problem, Google recommends updating to the latest version of Google Messages, turning off RCS, clearing Carrier Services data, restarting the phone, and then enabling RCS again. However, some users have reported that even this workaround does not guarantee success.
