GameSir Revives Tarantula Pro Controller with 8K Polling Rate for PC and Xbox

GameSir has launched its revamped Tarantula Pro controller for PC and Xbox players. The new controllers are available to buy through GameSir's store, with prices set at $69.99 / £79.99. However, Amazon stock is expected to arrive later this month or two.

The 8K polling rate model for PC players features symmetrical TMR sticks updated with Gen-2 Mag-Res TMR tech. The face buttons, D-pad, and trigger stops of the new PC model feature clicky microswitches that have a quoted lifespan of up to 5 million clicks.

The Tarantula Pro is designed for competitive players, boasting an 8K polling rate and lightweight design. It weighs 180g with a 0.25ms latency and includes six-axis gyro controls. The Xbox version will work on PC but be limited to a 1,000Hz polling rate.

Interestingly, both the Xbox and PC versions are limited to wired play only, a step down from the original Tarantula Pro's wireless play on Switch and PC. The new controllers carry over the two back buttons from the original, as well as mappable face buttons and additional shoulder paddles for use and assignment.
