GCash Links Up with Visa, Mastercard for Instant Payments
GCash, the top finance app in the Philippines, is introducing a new feature that will allow users to link up to three Visa and Mastercard credit or debit cards for instant payments. This move is set to roll out nationwide by August.
With this new feature, GCash users can say goodbye to the need to cash in before making purchases. The seamless integration of Visa and Mastercard cards will enable real-time transactions, eliminating the hassle of manual cash-ins and giving users greater flexibility in funding their everyday expenses.
The card-linking process will be authenticated through a one-time password (OTP), while eligible transactions will also require biometric or phone PIN authentication for added security. This ensures that users have complete peace of mind when making payments using their linked cards.
