Gemini Forecasts XRP Price Surge if CLARITY Act Passes
The CLARITY Act has once again taken center stage in the US Senate, and Google's AI platform Gemini is forecasting a potential price surge for XRP if the bill passes. According to Gemini, passage of the act would permanently classify XRP as a digital commodity under the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), removing the threat of future reinterpretation by the Securities and Exchange Commission.
In the immediate aftermath of enactment, Gemini expects XRP to trade between $2.50 and $4.50, with a possible retest of its all-time high of $3.65. However, the AI model warns that crypto markets often experience a 'buy the rumor, sell the news' retracement before sustained institutional buying begins.
The medium-term forecast spans six to twelve months after the bill becomes law and is driven by institutional money flowing into spot XRP exchange-traded funds (ETFs). Gemini cites research projecting between $4 billion and $8 billion in ETF inflows, which would push XRP into a $5 to $10 range with $8 as the base case.
The most aggressive price target of $15 to $30 is considered aspirational by Gemini, requiring two additional developments: US banks actively adopting XRP for real-time cross-border settlement and Ripple securing official bank charters.
