Gemini Live Gets Serious Productivity Upgrade from Google
Google has rolled out a major productivity upgrade to its Gemini Live virtual assistant. The new features, designed to handle complex tasks on behalf of users, include Personal Intelligence, Daily Brief, Spark, and hands-free inbox management.
The integration with Spark allows users to set up multi-step tasks using natural voice commands, which can then be executed across various Google apps such as Docs, Sheets, Drive, and the web. This means that users can now accomplish tasks like maintaining a weekly meal plan for their family or creating a grocery list based on recipes saved in their Docs.
The Daily Brief feature provides a spoken summary of everything on a user's to-do list for the day, combining updates from Gmail and Calendar into one concise digest. Users can access this feature by simply saying 'What's my daily brief?'
