Gemini Virtual Assistant Gets Interactive Storytelling and Smarter Features

Google has updated its Gemini virtual assistant to include new features and improvements. One of the most notable additions is Storytime, an interactive feature that allows users to create custom adventures with their family. Users can interrupt the story at any time to change the plot or characters.

The update also includes smarter household timekeeping and communication features. Alarms and timers now understand how users prefer to set their times, whether it's in 12-hour or 24-hour format. Users can also set timers using simple descriptions, such as 'set a timer for cooking a soft-boiled egg.'

Additionally, the update includes expanded availability of automations inside the Google Home app, support for more camera brands, and improved smart lock reliability.
