General Atlantic Revives IPO Plans with JPMorgan, Morgan Stanley, and Goldman Sachs
General Atlantic is reviving its plans for an initial public offering (IPO), working with JPMorgan, Morgan Stanley, and Goldman Sachs. The New York-based investment firm has held preliminary discussions with prospective investors as it reassesses its IPO plans.
The process remains at an early stage, with the timing, structure, and size of any transaction yet to be determined. Additional banks could also be brought into the syndicate.
General Atlantic has considered a stock market listing for several years, having explored an IPO in 2022 and confidentially filed for a US listing in 2023. The plans did not progress to a flotation at that time.
The firm has expanded its capabilities beyond its traditional growth equity business through acquisitions such as credit manager Iron Park and a minority investment in secondaries specialist Clipway. This move has broadened the firm’s offering across private markets, positioning General Atlantic towards a broader “one-stop shop” model.
