General Atlantic Revives IPO Plans with JPMorgan's Help
General Atlantic is reviving plans for an initial public offering (IPO) after years of preparation. The New York-based investment firm, which has about $129 billion in assets under management, is working with JPMorgan Chase & Co. on the potential listing.
The company has also selected Morgan Stanley and Goldman Sachs Group Inc. to lead the IPO, according to people familiar with the matter. Preliminary meetings have been held with potential investors, some of whom said that a listing could take place as soon as this year.
