Georgia Duo Sentenced for Stealing $9.4 Million from Amazon
Two Georgia women, Brittany Hudson and Kayricka Wortham, have been sentenced for stealing over $9.4 million from Amazon through a fraudulent invoice scheme.
The scheme lasted six months in 2022, during which time the duo submitted more than 1,000 fake vendor invoices to get reimbursed for goods and services.
Wortham worked as an Amazon warehouse operations manager at the time, while Hudson owned a delivery company that contracted with Amazon.
The pair used their ill-gotten gains to buy a pricey home, a Lamborghini, and a Porsche.
They were charged in December 2022, but attempted to defraud another company while out on bond in 2023.
