Georgia Woman Sentenced to 16+ Years for ₹83 Crore Amazon Fraud
A Georgia woman has been sentenced to over 16 years in federal prison for her role in a ₹83 crore Amazon fraud. Brittany Hudson allegedly worked with her partner, Kayricka Wortham, to obtain payments from Amazon through fraudulent vendor invoices between January and June 2022.
The two women submitted more than 1,000 fake invoices to Amazon, claiming reimbursement for goods and services that were not provided. Through these claims, they allegedly obtained nearly ₹83 crore within a few months.
Hudson's alleged accomplice, Wortham, was previously sentenced in 2023. The money obtained through the alleged fraud was used to purchase expensive assets, including a home, a Lamborghini, and a Porsche.
