Gillette Unveils $1 Billion South Boston Headquarters Plans

Gillette is moving forward with plans for a new $1 billion headquarters in South Boston. The company's parent, Procter & Gamble, has purchased a 2.4-acre property at 232 A Street for $99.3 million.

The site will feature a more than 324,000-square-foot office and lab development, along with 1.5 acres of public open space along Fort Point Channel and new flood protection measures. The move comes as Gillette shifts its manufacturing operations to Andover.

Additionally, the company is proposing to redevelop its existing 31-acre South Boston campus into a massive 5.7 million-square-foot mixed-use development featuring up to 20 buildings.
