Glasgow Man Remanded for Laughing After Brutal Street Attack
A disturbing incident of street violence in Glasgow's city centre has left a young man severely injured. On May 26, Jordan Struthers was attacked by Joseph Gillen and another accomplice outside the Motel One on Oswald Street.
The attackers punched and kicked Struthers repeatedly until he fell to the ground, where they continued to kick him.
A nearby pub witnessed the assault, with witnesses describing Gillen's callous actions after the attack: 'He ran off laughing.'
Gillen was identified through CCTV footage and tracked down to a McDonald's in Argyle Street. Struthers suffered severe injuries, including four broken ribs and a punctured lung.
