Global FMCG majors are making significant investments in India, driven by resilient consumer demand and strong growth across digital and e-commerce channels.

The companies, including Mondelez International, L’Oréal, Reckitt, Unilever, Nestlé, and Coca-Cola, have identified India as a key long-term growth market.

Mondelez added 1 lakh stores to its retail network in India during the second quarter of 2026, citing 'very strong' consumer confidence. L’Oréal reported that its India business accelerated by over 70% in the June quarter, with e-commerce continuing to perform strongly.

Reckitt posted high single-digit growth in India, driven by broad-based gains across categories and wider distribution. Unilever's CEO, Fernando Fernandez, said India 'accelerated strongly' during the quarter, with its second-largest market performing well.
