Global Investors Flock to American Express Amid Expansion Efforts

Global Retirement Partners LLC has invested in American Express Company (NYSE:AXP) by purchasing 17,223 shares during the second quarter. This investment is valued at approximately $5,826,000.

In addition to Global Retirement Partners, other institutional investors have also been buying and selling American Express stock. Keybank National Association OH has increased its holdings in American Express by 3.0% in the fourth quarter, while Swiss Life Asset Management Ltd has boosted its shares by 34.1%. Peapack Gladstone Financial Corp and Thames Capital Management LLC have also raised their positions in American Express.

American Express has been expanding its virtual-card capabilities through its @ Work platform for U.S. corporate customers. The company is offering adjustable spending limits, enhanced fraud protection, and easier expense management, which may increase commercial-payment volumes and customer retention.
