A viral TikTok video has shed light on an unusual gas-filling technique used by one GMC Yukon driver. The video, posted by content creator Cory Todd (@ctoddpse), shows a man using a large funnel to pour gasoline into his tank at a Chevron station.

The driver's method sparked debate among viewers, with some speculating that the EVAP (evaporative emissions) system might be clogged. This system captures fuel vapors and prevents them from escaping into the atmosphere.

Commenters suggested that the funnel was being used to prevent the gas nozzle from shutting off prematurely, which can happen if gasoline splashes back up the filler pipe and temporarily covers the opening of the nozzle.
