Goldman Sachs Attracts Significant Investments Amid Strong Earnings
The Goldman Sachs Group, Inc. (NYSE: GS) has attracted significant investments from various large financial institutions in the second quarter. According to a recent SEC filing, Compass Financial Management LLC purchased approximately 3,207 shares of GS's stock valued at $3,319,000. This is not an isolated instance, as other notable investors have also added to their stakes in the company.
BlackRock Inc., for example, bought a new stake worth about $24,172,123,000 in the second quarter, while State Street Corp increased its holdings by 2.1% during the fourth quarter. Fisher Asset Management LLC and Geode Capital Management LLC also expanded their positions in GS.
These investments reflect confidence in Goldman Sachs' prospects, particularly given its recent earnings results. In the latest quarterly report, the company beat analyst estimates with $20.98 earnings per share and revenue of $20.34 billion, a 39.4% increase from the same period last year.
