Goldman Sachs BDC Sees Q2 Earnings Weaken on Investment Losses
Goldman Sachs BDC (GSBD) released its Q2 2026 earnings report, revealing lower investment income and net realized and unrealized losses.
Total investment income decreased by about 8.0% year-over-year to $83.7 million, while diluted EPS fell by a similar percentage to $0.21 from $0.34.
Net investment income per share remained unchanged at $0.38 due to lower incentive fees and a reduced weighted-average share count. However, this was partially offset by higher interest and other debt expenses.
The company attributed the decline in EPS primarily to net realized and unrealized losses of $18.5 million, which increased from $5.2 million in Q2 2025.
