Goldman Sachs CEO Admits Owning 'Very Little' Bitcoin Amid Crypto Exposure
Goldman Sachs CEO David Solomon has revealed that he personally owns 'very little' Bitcoin (BTC), stating 'I own a little bitcoin, very little' in a recent speech at the World Liberty Forum. This admission comes as Goldman's regulatory filings show the bank holds indirect exposure to approximately $2.36 billion worth of crypto assets through U.S.-based spot ETFs.
The bank's Q4 2025 Form 13F filing revealed that it has roughly $1.7 billion in BTC, valued at an estimated $920 million after a nearly 50% decline. The filing also showed Goldman holds approximately $1 billion in Ethereum (ETH), $153 million in XRP (XRP), and $108 million in SOL.
Solomon's personal investment in Bitcoin stands in contrast to the bank's institutional posture, which just a few years ago characterized BTC as a speculative asset with limited utility. The disclosure highlights the tension Wall Street faces as digital assets move deeper into regulated financial products.
