Goldman Sachs Launches Market Linked Securities with High-Risk Rewards
Goldman Sachs has launched a new financial product called Market Linked Securities, Auto-Callable with Leveraged Upside Participation and Contingent Downside, linked to the S&P 500 Index. The securities are part of the Medium-Term Notes, Series F program of GS Finance Corp., which is fully and unconditionally guaranteed by The Goldman Sachs Group, Inc.
The product allows investors to participate in the upside of the S&P 500 Index with a leveraged participation rate of 125%. However, if the index falls below the threshold level of 75% of its starting value, investors will have 1-to-1 downside exposure and could lose more than 25% or all of their investment.
The securities are expected to be priced on September 30, 2026, with an issue date of October 5, 2026. The stated maturity date is October 4, 2029, and the calculation day is also October 1, 2029. If the closing level of the underlier on the call date (October 5, 2027) is greater than or equal to the starting level, the securities will be automatically called, and investors will receive a cash payment.
