Goldman Sachs Returns to XRP Market as Token Jumps 40%
Goldman Sachs has re-entered the market as the largest institutional holder of XRP ETFs, according to its latest Q2 2026 filing. The bank reported a total of $86.5 million across five XRP funds: Bitwise XRP ETF, Franklin XRP Trust, Canary XRP ETF, 21Shares XRP ETF, and Grayscale XRP Trust.
The move comes as XRP has seen a significant price increase of over 40% this week, rising from near $1 to around $1.37. This surge in value may be attributed to the growing interest in institutional lending platforms on the XRP Ledger, with Ripple's recent partnership involving Clearpool and Cicada Credit aiming to tap into the $10 billion-plus private credit market.
Goldman Sachs' return as a major player in the XRP market is notable, given its previous exit from XRP ETF holdings. The bank had previously held a significant position of $153 million before completely exiting the market.
