Goldman Sachs Shareholdings in Ontex Hit Multiple Thresholds
The Goldman Sachs Group has made several significant shareholding notifications to Ontex Group NV. According to Article 14 of the Belgian Law of May 2, 2007, this is required for combined holdings and equivalent financial instruments above or below 3%. Between August 18 and 21, 2026, Goldman Sachs' holdings fluctuated across the threshold.
On August 18, Ontex reported that Goldman Sachs held 481,494 voting rights (0.58%), 2,147,719 equivalent financial instruments (2.61%), and a combined total of 2,629,213 shares representing 3.19% of issued shares.
However, by August 19, the number of equivalent financial instruments had increased to 2,616,162, crossing the 3% threshold upward at 3.18%. But then on August 20, this number decreased back below 3% at 2.88%, and finally on August 21, it was down at 2.52%.
These changes required Ontex to disclose transparency declarations as per the Belgian Law, highlighting Goldman Sachs' significant shareholdings in the company.
