Goldman Sachs Taps IG Wealth Portfolio for $16.8 Billion Management Role
IG Wealth Management has partnered with Goldman Sachs Asset Management to oversee its C$23.2 billion portfolio suite, which includes five diversified portfolios offering different combinations of equities, fixed income, and alternative investments.
The newly renamed IG Strategic Wealth Portfolios, formerly part of the IG Core Portfolios suite, will be managed by Goldman's Multi-Asset Solutions team.
Goldman will use its open-architecture platform to evaluate the portfolios' asset allocation, manager selection, and risk exposures, adding selected Goldman Sachs strategies alongside existing holdings rather than replacing them entirely.
The partnership aims to strengthen the investment foundation of the IG Strategic Wealth Portfolios by leveraging Goldman's global resources, active management, and risk discipline.
