Goldman Upgrades Straumann to Buy on Strong Growth Prospects
Straumann () shares rose on Monday after Goldman Sachs upgraded the Swiss dental implant maker to 'Buy' from 'Neutral' and raised its price target to CHF 125 from CHF 106.
Goldman analysts said Straumann has the building blocks in place for accelerated core EBIT and earnings per share growth in fiscal 2027. They expect constant currency top-line growth to modestly accelerate in the second half of 2026, driven by improving trends in the Asia-Pacific region.
The investment bank forecasts strong constant currency margin expansion in fiscal 2027, primarily due to manufacturing and operating efficiencies. Goldman also noted that foreign exchange could provide a mid-single-digit tailwind to top-line growth and add approximately 20 basis points to margin expansion.
Goldman Sachs projects Straumann to deliver more than 20% core EBIT growth in fiscal 2027, which would mark the fastest year of EBIT growth since fiscal 2018. The firm also highlighted an inflection point in cash conversion, forecasting a positive trend driven by EBIT growth and lower capital expenditures.
